New Members

Cheryl Bartz was born in St. Joseph, Michigan and then raised around Chicago.  Most of her adult life was spent in southern Wisconsin where she met Rick, her husband.  They were married in Colorado and moved to California in 1987.  Rick and Cheri own a business here in Whittier.  Her hobby is craft sewing.  She runs a cottage craft business which allows her to travel around the area with her best friend selling at craft shows.  she loves to organize activities, enjoys classical music and interior design.  she had a former career in Interior Design.  Through Rick she has 7 stepchildren and 9 grandchildren.

Cheri discovered Whittier Presbyterian Church when her mother, Doris Buschgen, moved to Whittier and they were driving around her new community.  they attended church one Sunday morning and felt welcomed and needed.  Cheri describes it as a feeling of "coming home."  

On April 8, 2001, Cheri had her baptismal vows renewed and joined the church.  We welcome her to our fellowship.
