The Project for the New American Century is a non-profit educational organization dedicated to a few fundamental propositions: that American leadership is good both for America and for the world; that such leadership requires military strength, diplomatic energy and commitment to moral principle; and that too few political leaders today are making the case for global leadership.  (This seems to be the group that is currently setting American Foreign policy .)

Edward Said's plea to Arabs

Speech by Senator Robert Byrd.  This is rather polemical, but makes some good points against the prospect of war with Iraq.

Kiesling's Resignation - a letter of resignation written by John Brady Kiesling, a member of Bush's Foreign Service Corps and Political Counselor to the American embassy in Greece.  Kiesling has been a diplomat for twenty years, a civil servant to four Presidents.  The letter below, delivered to Secretary of State Colin Powell, is quite possibly the most eloquent statement of dissent thus far put forth regarding the issue of Iraq.

Dr. Robert Muller statement.  Dr. Robert Muller, former assistant secretary general of the United Nations, now Chancellor emeritus of the University of Peace in Costa Rica was one of the people who witnessed the founding of the U.N. and has worked in support of or inside the U.N. ever since.

Gary Dorrien in Christian Century magazine on Unipolarism.  Unipolarism is the name given the philosophy of the Project for the New American Century (see above).  This is the theory or foundation for the current foreign policy of the Bush Administration
