Interfaith Food Center
One of our local mission programs is the Interfaith Food Center. The Center has been in operation for nearly 20 years now and Whittier Presbyterian Church has been a supporter of the program since its inception. We support the center through our Deacon's offering and by bringing foodstuffs to worship each Sunday.
A recent fundraiser was the 100 mile San Diego bike ride by Rev. Geoff Nelson and Mr. Mark Angevine of Whittier Presbyterian Church. On June 15, 2002, Geoff and Mark accompanied the Flyers Bike Club of Whittier on a ride from the Santa Ana Amtrak Station to the downtown San Diego Amtrak station, nearly 100 miles. This raised $880 for the center. See the photos below.
