A part of the mission of Whittier Presbyterian Church is to help children and young people improve their abilities in school.  We have been doing this kind of work for over 12 years now and the addition of Homework House has added a level of sophistication and refinement to our program, working with a variety of children of the community, many low income, many at risk, some with learning dysfunction. 

We have seen remarkable results from the work that Homework House has done in our community with the children and families it has touched.  We get good responses from teachers, parents and children, and the tutors involved find this activity very meaningful and rewarding.  The Homework House program is collaborating well with the community as well as with the church.
